Biography

Asa Bean is a member of Clan MacBean.

Asa Bean is the son of Ensign Jacob Bean and Hannah C. (Nelson) Bean.

Asa married Theodaty Bohonon, daughter of Decon Jonathan and Dorothy (Wells) Bohonon. They were members of the Sutton Baptist Church for 32 years.

In 1884, after his wife died, Asa moved to Chester to live with his son Addison.

Asa and Theodaty had two children:

Mary Eliza Bean, born December 4, 1835, died November 6, 1848, in Sutton, NH;

Addison Asa Bean, born November 1, 1845, died November 18, 1915, married Mary E. Gordon
