Lewis Beard was born, possibly in Aug 13, 1755, in Rowan County, North Carolina where his parents were living at the time. He died on Dec 11, 1820 in Rowan County, North Carolina.[1]

Parents: John Ludwig/Lewis Barth/Beard (1715-1788) and Christina Snapp (1737-1800)

Spouse: Susan Dunn, married Jan 27, 1785 in Rowan County, North Carolina[2]

Revolutionary War Service: He served in the Rowan County Regiment, North Carolina Militia; Rank: Major; Bayard, Lewis; Rowan County Regiment; 1779 start, 1779 end; 1779, a Major under Col. Francis Locke for a short duration. aka Lewis Boyd.[3]
