Biography

William was born about 1731. He testified by deposition on July 23, 1808 in Augusta County Court that he was either 76 or 77 years old.[1]

He died in 1817.[2]

Will of William Beard. 26 June 1813
His estate to be sold off after his death and equally divided amongst all of his children after his debts are paid. Give to my grandson Thomas Beard the house in which I now live with all the land which I am possesed and also gave him a Sorrel mare. Something to his son Samuel Beards son William. Appoint Joseph Beard and Wm. Sproul executors of this will. Witnesses: James Hayes, John McKee and Samuel H. McNutt. It was proved in court 26 May 1817[4]
