Biography

Arthur was the son of Calvin C. Beard and Matilda Morse Beard.

Arthur registered for the draft for WWI in 1917. At that time he was married to Lottie Mae Walters and had two children. On his form, he stated that he worked for Standard Oil Company in Louisiana. His physical description was tall and slender with gray eyes and black hair.[1]

In 1930 he and his family were making their home in Smackover, Union County, Arkansas[2] during the South Arkansas "Oil Boom."[3]

Arthur passed away in 1956. He is interred in Cane Ridge Cemetery in Lorman, Jefferson, Mississippi.[4]

Notes

While I was working on this, I found what seems to be census records for three different Arthur Beards born 1886-1889 in southern US States. Please be careful when making additions to this profile.
