Biography
Roy was born on April 24, 1902 at Fairfield, VA . He married Mary Anna Leighton (December 30, 1900 - March 30, 1983) of Natural Bridge in December 1925 (her parents were Andrew A. Leighton, b. 1860 d. 1932, and Parthenia Ray Leighton, b. 1868, d. 1944, with siblings William Grafton Leighton, 1895-1972, and John Kemper Leighton, 1905-1955). He was an electrician with the Appalachian Power Co. in Lynchburg. He is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan, VA. They had 4 children.
