Sarah Isabella Beard was born in 1797 in Kentucky, United States.[1]
Sarah married Matthew Wells (born about 1791 in Maryland, United States; son of Peter Wells) in 1815 in Ohio, United States. Their children were:
- William Wells (1811–1877)
- Sarah Mariah Wells (1812–1904)
- Peter Garfield Wells (1814–1904)
- Margaret Wells (~1822– )
- Joshua Wells (~1825–1905)
Sarah died on June 5, 1850 in West Union, Fayette, Iowa, United States, aged 52. She was buried in West Union Cemetery, West Union, Fayette County, Iowa.[1]
