John Beardsley is a descendant of the immigrants William Beardsley and Mary Harvie.

John Wells Beardsley was born on July 3, 1776 in Connecticut Colony, son of Ebenezer Beardsley (1746–1791) and Martha Phillips (~1750– ). Dr. Horace Beardsley, was his guardian. ^[1]

John (27) married Elizabeth Tuthill (19) (born about December 21, 1783; daughter of Mary Sarah (Bull) Tuthill) on December 13, 1803 in Goshen, Orange, New York, United States.^[2]

John died about 1855 in Norwalk, Huron, Ohio, United States, aged about 78.^[3]
