Richard H. Beardsley, age 68, died Saturday, September 22, 2018, in Sun City, Fla.. He was born December 8, 1949, in Erie, the son of the late Raymond R. and Yvonne (Main) Beardsley.
Dick was a tool and die journeyman for most of his life, working at Triangle Tool in Erie and West Penn Plastics and MTD in New Castle, Pa. He served as Sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, loved dogs, collected vinyl records, enjoyed fishing, and always cheered for the "Stillers," even after retiring to Ellenton, Fla.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard W. Beardsley (wife Cheryl); and two brothers, Daryl Wayne Beardsley and David Paul Beardsley.
Dick is survived by his wife, Karen (Stewart) Beardsley; son, Neil A. Beardsley (Maria); daughter, Marilou Welling (Levi); two sisters, Cheryl Seib (Arthur III) of Erie and Kathleen Scott (Gale) of Harborcreek; along with two grandchildren, Richard W. Beardsley, Jr. and Caitlyn Reid; and five nieces and nephews and their families.
