Ephraim Beardsley[1] was born at Stratford, Conn., 1677 died at Stratford, 1733/4; married at Stratford, 30 Dec. 1708, Mehitable Osborn, daughter of John Osborn.[2] His will, dated, 23 Feb. 1733/4,[3] gave to his wife, his best feather bed, furniture, iron pot, brass kettle, warming pan, frying pan, Ross iron, chest of drawers, Peel and Tongs, all his powter, Trammel, five chairs, best Bible, Russell’s’ seven sermons, his beer cask, square table, watering-pot, one spinning wheel, hackle; also, the free use and improvement of one Fore room in dwelling house, and half of the cellar, and a garden plot, and free use of the well, so long as she should remain his widow. He also mentioned his son David, and his two daughters. [Holt]
