John was born in about 1846 - based on his age when he married Elizabeth Carter.
He married Elizabeth Frances Carter at Hobart, Tasmania in February 1879.[1] [2] He was a Gardener aged 32 - and a Widower. His father is named as the 'late John Beason'.
NOTE - no Marriage to a first wife has been found for John.
The Birth record of John and Elizabeth's daughter Violet in 1880 confirms her father's name was 'John Thomas Beason'.
John's mother Sarah and Elizabeth's mother Ann appear to be sisters. That makes John and Elizabeth Carter first COUSINS.
A 'Missing Person's Report in 1880 indicates that he was probably in Victoria. [3] A South Australia Report adds extra details - including his mother was a MRS. TAYLOR of Lubeck in the Marma parish near Horsham. [4]
(Note - his mother's Third Marriage in 1867 was to a George TAYLOR. They lived in the Stawell area so this appears to confirm that John and Elizabeth were Cousins. )
He appears to have returned 'home' as he is reported as the father of William Samuel Beason in 1888.
A letter by Elizabeth (Carter) Beason on her son Tasman BEASON's Ward of State file says "BEASON died in Qld. a few months after his son was born." That would be about 1888.
No definite Death Record in Qld, NSW, Vic or Tasmania has been found.
His wife remarried in 1892 - but she used her Maiden Name.
