"Domhnull Ban Onorach," was born circa 1750 in Lochaber, Scotland. He was the son of Donald MacDonald, son of John, son of Donald, son of "Alasdair Rianaich" of the Bohuntin or "Sliochd an Taighe" MacDonalds.
He married Isabel (Beaton) MacDonald, daughter of Finlay, son of Alexander Beaton of Skye. He lived in Lochaber, Scotland but in 1805 emirated to Canada and took up land on the South West River of Mabou.[1] His family was; Alexander, Donald, John, Finlay and Mary.
He died in 1845 at an advanced age in South West Mabou, Inverness, Nova Scotia, and was buried at St. Peter's Cemetery in Port Hood. While his wife Isabel apparently outlived him passing in 1849.[2]
