Biography

Patricia, daughter of Frank and Irene Darland Beatty, was born on July 7th, 1933 in Oskaloosa. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School and played in the High School Band.

Patricia married Harold Piersel on February 14th in the Christian Church of Oskaloosa, Iowa. They lived on a farm east of Barnes City and were later divorced.

Patricia later married Lester Findley, Jr on November 14th, 1964 in Grinnell. She worked for Grinnell College as a bookkeeper. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operation of their farm near Milton and also made decorated cakes. she was employed most recently as a bookkeeper in Fairfield.

She was a member of the Keosauqua United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was a member of Twin City Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Douds, and was past matron of Carr Chapter, OES, formerly of Milton. She as a member of Chapter AD, PEO, Milton. She has been a member of the Iowa Pollette Association and served as leader of the Milton Busy Bees 4-H Club for 10 years.

Patricia died at the age of 62 on Tuesday, September 19th, 1995 at 8:04 PM in the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral service was held on Friday, September 22nd, 1995 at 1:30 PM at Keosauqua United Methodist Church with Rev. S. Gale Hawhee officiating. Interment was made in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton, Iowa.
