4/19/1944 Indiana Evening Gazette page 2 John R. Beatty of Calina, RD, Bell Township, died suddenly in his home, Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The deceased was a son of Alexander W. and Martha Jeffrie (Wilson) Beatty and was born in Bell Township, June 7th, 1879. His entire life was lived on the farm on which he was born.
He is survived by his wife, Eva McLaughlin Beatty and two sisters; Mrs. Nancy Willifong, Scottdale and Mrs. Alice M. Love of Saltsburg.
