Andrew Decatur and his younger brother, Thomas Jefferson Beaty were living in Hawkinsville, Pulaski Co, Ga. in approximately 1825, as orphans...Later Court records name a man by the name of Darling Jones as guardian of the Beaty children, Thomas J. and Andrew Decatur Beaty....A book, "The Ancestors of The Beaty & Simpson Families" shows the parents of Thomas J. & Andrew D. as Thomas Beaty who died before 6 Jul 1824 in Pulaski Co, Ga. and Nancy Brantley… She married as her 2nd husband, Darling Jones…. A copy of this book may be found at the Huxford Genealogical Library in Homerville, Ga.
Andrew married Margaret Bembry, May 5, 1839 by D.B. Halstead, J.I.C.
In the 1880 census Andrew and family live next door to Henry Walker and Sarah Marina Beaty.
He served in Bostwick's Company of Georgia Volunteers during the Creek War.[1]
Andrew Decatur Beaty is the administrator for William J. Beaty, the husband to Nancy Bembry Beaty, Andrews' wife Margaret Jane Bembrey Beaty, sister. The ads appeared in the Thomasville, Georgia's Southern Enterprise from September to December 1866. William and Nancy's children were raised by their Bembry grandmother.
