Obituary of Anita "Ferne" Ferne Beaty Schisler

Canton Daily Ledger, December 1985 Ferne Schisler Astoria - Ferne Schisler, 81, of rural Astoria, died at 12:25 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 1985, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Rushville. She was born June 6, 1904, in Woodland Township, the daughter of Frank and Birdie (Martin) Beaty. She married Carl Schisler, Sept. 5, 1925, in Macomb. He died Jan. 29, 1981. Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Melba Collins of rural Frederick, Mrs. Bessie Pempek of Springfield, Mrs. Nelda Parker of Astoria and Mrs. Carolyn Holloway of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Maxine Haney of Colchester. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild, one sister and two brothers. She was a member of the Summum Christian Church. Services were scheduled to be held at 11 a.m. today at Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria, Collis Trone officiating. Burial was to be in Astoria Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Culbertson Memorial Hospital.
