Memories : by Martha Beaugh-15 Leger

I often saw Uncle Newton when he lived with my grandfather [his father ] at my grandfather Joseph `Beb Beaugh `& my Aunt Bertha who never married & took care of the home & my grandfather & Uncle Newton until he married Aunt Etta [Hundley ] after her first husband - Errol Beaugh died - they had two daughters - Emma Jean Beaugh who later married a Comeaux from Rayne - & Cynthia Beaugh who became a Catholic Nun & took the name of Sister Thad Judist ] [ Uncle Errol was Uncle Newton`s brother ] Aunt Bertha & I visited quite often where they lived in Church Point, La. Jimmy was such a sweet baby & even at a few years old - he could do no wrong in his Father`s eyes -we all loved him - Jean was like his second Mom & Cymp was always around him also . after Wilbert & I married we went to visit Uncle Newton often & continued while he was sick & until his death - . He always would tell us the latest news about Jean , Cymp , & Jimmy who he could never stop talking about & said how he loved them so much

Uncle Newton & Aunt Etta had a son named James Anthony Beaugh - called Jimmy & as he grew up was caled Jim! Jim & I are first cousins and have remained friends through out our lives . during our early adult years we were not in close contact but as we got a little older we once again became very close & talk on phone at least once or twice a week . Jim now lives in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Jim also comes to visit us in Sunset, La.
