Biography

Heloise was born in March 6, 1914, in a house boat on Lake Pend O'Reille at Bottle Bay, Idaho. When she was 6 weeks old, the family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota (where her father's French family lived). She remembered her family being stricken by the Spanish Flu during WWI, and soon after they returned to Spokane, Washington. In 1932, she met her husband, Thomas McGrath, while walking to mass, and married him in St. Ann's Catholic Church on April 17, 1937. She had two sons and a daughter. She was an excellent seamstress and created crafts. She passed away in 2007.
