Biography

Cécile was baptized conditonally on 10 Jun 1763 at the age of 8 months, having been baptized in the "bush", because of the distance to the local parish, Ste-Anne in Détroit. She was the daughter of voyageur Jean Brilland dit Beaulieu and Françoise, "Sauteuse de nation". Godparents were François Campeau and Demoiselle Cécile Marsac who alone signs the register.
