Born about 1540 Francis Beamont was son of John Beaumont and his second wife, Elizabeth Hastings.[1][2] He was educated at Peterhouse, Cambridge and at Inner Temple being called to the Bar in 1568. [1] Francis was returned to Parliament as member for Aldeburgh in 15772. [1]
He married Anne Pierrepont daughter of Sir George Pierrpont of Holme Pierrepont in Nottinghamshire. Anne was widow of Thomas Thorold of Marston in Lincolnshire. Anne bore him 3 sons and a daughter. [1]
Fraancis died at Gracedieu on 22 April 1598 and was buried at Belton.[1] The Visitation of Leicestershire dates his death to 12 April 1598.[2]
