We have no information as to the origin of the Becks found in Miles Township, Centre Co. There were three of them who had families at the time of the 1830 census: Daniel said to be between 30 and 40 (7 children ), Benjamin between 20 and 30 (2 children) b-1804 Henry between 20 and 30, b-1806 The earliest mention of Daniel is in the first of three old Meyer Account books, in the possession of Harold Esterline of Rebersburg, Pa. Daniel's name appears on p 71. On Dec. 26, 1832, Daniel Beck purchased land in Logan Township, Centre Co. (Sugar Valley) On July 14, 1838 he and his wife, Julian, sold some land in Miles Township. This account continues, in the source material pp 82-87, also this is the source for Daniel's wife's name,
