Biography

Elizabeth Beck was baptized 14 Feb 1732 in (today) Oberriexingen, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, the daughter of Johann Georg (Hans Jerg) Beck & Anna Maria Gucker (see media).[1][2][3] At the time of his birth, the region was considered part of the Holy Roman Empire until 1805.

She married Adam Wysor, sometimes spelled as Weiser, about 1755 in Upper Saucon Township, Northampton (today Lehigh), Pennsylvania. This marriage is recorded in the records of St Paul's Lutheran & Reformed Church, also known as the "Blue Church." She is identified as the daughter of Jerg Beck in this marriage record (see media).[2][4]

Elizabeth's husband Adam died in 1804 in Montgomery County, Virginia.

Elizabeth Beck Wysor died about 1811 in Montgomery (later Pulaski) County, Virginia. She is buried in Wysor Cemetery, Dublin.[8]

The area of Montgomery County, Virginia, where the Wysor family resided would become part of Pulaski County in 1839.
