Henry was christened on November 28, 1818 at St. John the Baptist, Croydon, Surrey.

School Master, Church Organist, Music Shop Owner.

Birth

Henry was baptised at St John's, Croydon, Surrey on 28th November 1818. ^[1] He was the son of Daniel and Lucy. His father stated on the register that he was Schoolmaster of Archbishop Tenison's School.

Marriage

Henry Beck and Kezia Eldershaw were married after banns at St John's, Croydon, Surrey on 30th October 1838.^[2] Henry was a bachelor, 20 years old, working as a schoolmaster and living in North End, Croydon. He was the son of Daniel Beck who was also a schoolmaster. Kezia was of full age, a widow also living in North End, Croydon, and the daughter of George Yabsley who was a clerk. They each signed their own name on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were Daniel Beck, Eliza Ann Beck, Peter D Beck.^[3]
