Sarah Ann Beck ^{[1] [2]} was born January 23, 1832 ^[1][2] in Greene County, Illinois ^[1][2] to Sanford Beck and Matilda Rountree. She died at the age of 61 on January 31, 1893, and was buried in the Decatur/Maxwell/Murphy Cemetery in Murphy, Collin County, Texas.

Sarah married John Madison Salmons, possibly in 1845 in Jersey County, Illinois. ^[3]
