Frederick was born in 1894 in North Kensington, London, England. He is the son of James Beck and Maria Wedlock. The 1901 Census shows him living with his parents and three siblings at 70 Silchester Road, Kensington. In 1911, at the age of 16, he is working as a printer and living in the household of his grandfather and parents on Silchester Road, North Kensington. He married Edith Queenie Harmer in 1928 at Holy Trinity Church, Parish of Hammershmith. The marriage record shows him living at 24 Wallingford Avenue, still occupied as a printer. Gideon Frederick Harmer and Walter Edwin Beck were the witnesses. The 1939 England and Wales Register shows him living with his wife Edith Q, his brothers Walter E and James H, and a person (presumably Elizabeth, James H's spouse) whose name is blacked out at 54 Highlever Road. Also living in the household is a Susie C Stragnell, born in 1889 and occupied as a dressmaker. I am not sure who she is: perhaps a boarder? Frederick and his two brothers are described as printers (master letterpress). He died in Colchester, Essex, England in 1968
