Etta was born to Virgil and Vivianee (Prather) Beck. She married August W. Hooker on July 10, 1987, in Princeton, Ill.

Surviving are her parents; her husband; three sons, James Hooker, Matthew Hooker and David Hooker; one daughter, Rebecca Hooker; four sisters, Tammy, Penny, Paula and Kathy; two brothers, Virgil Jr. and Corey Beck; two brothers-in-law, Joe Tuckel and Brian Giger; and one grandson, Cameron Hooker.

One sister preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker.
