Also on December 20, 1861, he sold 50 acres at the southwest corner of the lot to Pete rBrown Jr. To Peter, he granted a mortgage of 600 pounds whic hwas discharged on May 9, 1864.
On March 7, 1863, he bought 1 acre at the southeast corner of Lot 12 in the First Concession of Walsingham from William Anderson and his wife. He took a mortgage for the purchase from William, which was discharged on December 3, 1864. He took out another mortgage on this land on March 24, 1869 from George Hutchinson and Samuel Ousterhout which was discharged on October 29, 1872. He took out another mortgage for the land from [Marg] Killmaster on May 22, 1877.
