John Fredrick Becker was born 13 Jan 1861 in West Cairo, Ohio to John Becker and Mary Rauch, both from Germany. He died 02 Dec 1924 in Auglaize, Ohio from injuries suffered when he fell from a hay wagon. 
When John was just 2 years old his mother passed away as a result of the birth of George, his only brother. His father John was racing home at the time, was hit by a train and later succumbed of his injuries. John was left as an orphan with 6 living sisters. Where he grew up is a total mystery to the family. All of the sisters have been found in the 1870 census, and John is not living with any of them. He may be living with the Russle family in 1870, but, the connection has not been found
