Biography

Jeanne Becker was born on 27 Jun 1923 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. She was the oldest of three children born to Emma Engler and Frank Becker. In 1930 she lived with her parents and two younger siblings at 5 Taft Street in Hanover Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, and she was the only child attending school.[1]

Her mother died when Jeanne was eight years old.[2] Her father sent his three young children to live with his parents, Frank and Frances Becker. They were living at 55 Vulcan Street in Wilkes-Barre at the time of the 1940 census, and Jeanne was a junior in high school.[3] Jeanne lived at that address until she was married. She married John O'Brian on 30 June 1946 in Wilkes-Barre, and Rev. Robert R. Hunsberger performed the ceremony. She was working as a stenographer before she married.[4]

Jeanne O'Brian died on 27 May 1986 and her cause of death was cardiopathy arrest with a contributory cause of diabetes mellitus. She is buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.[5]
