June 11, 1959 - Algona Upper Des Moines - Funeral services for Mrs Mary Zeller, 89, were held Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's church at St. Joe. Father Leo Schumacher officiated and burial was in the St: Joe cemetery. Hamilton's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs Zeller, a long time resident of the St Joe area, died Saturday afternoon at the home of her son George in Watertown, S.D. She was born Sept. 23, 1869. Her husband, Jacob Zeller, preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Maggie Thilges St. Joe and. Mrs Ed (Susie) Butler, Wauby, S. Dakota and two sons, George, Watertown, So. Dak. and Philip, Waverly, Minn. Six grandsons Raymond, Alfred, Bernard, Nonbert, Jacob and Mark Thilges served as pallbearers at the services.
June 11, 1959 - Algona Upper Des Moines —- Mrs Mary Zeller, 89, mother of Mrs Maggie Thilges of St. Joseph's parish, died at Watertown, South Dakota, Saturday evening, June 6th. A funeral Mass was held Tuesday morning at Watertown and following the services the body will be brought here to the Mrs Maggie Thilges home. Tuesday evening the Rosary was said, and a Requiem High Mass was read on Wednesday morning at St, Joseph's church at 9 o'clock with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery. Hamilton Funeral Home of Algona was in charge of arrangementis here. Mrs Mary Zeller was well known in the St. Joe Community having lived here many years. She would have celebrated her 90th birthday Sept. 23.
