August 8, 1947 - Humboldt Republican - St Joseph — Mrs. Rose Illg, 72, died Monday morning at the home of a son, Arthur, near Bode. She had been sick for several months and in early June had surgery at a Fort Dodge hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Catholic church at St. Joseph in charge of the Rev. George Theobald. Burial will be in the St. Joseph cemetery.
Mrs. Illg was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Antone Becker. She was born at Milton, Illinois, and when she was 7 the family came to the St. Joseph vicinity where she had lived 65 years.
Marriage to George Illg took place when she was a young woman and the couple became parents of 4 children all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Henry Zeimet, Swea City; Father Francis Illg, Mallard; Arthur Illg, Bode; and Mrs. Frank Droessler, Bancroft. Mr. Illg died April 23, 1945.
