Amanda (Becker) Mummert has German Roots.

Amanda Elizabeth, daughter of Jacob Becker (Baker) and Elizabeth Kessler,[1] was born 24 October 1869 in Paradise Township, York County, Pennsylvania.[1] Her parents had her baptized at Holtzschwamm Reformed Congregation in Paradise Township on 15 March 1870.[1] She grew up in Paradise. In 1870 the family consisted of her parents Jacob Becker (age 34, a tailor) and Eliza (35). Amanda E. (7 months), her siblings Lydia (13), Maquilla (10), Jacob (5) and George (2), and her paternal uncle John Becker (28, shoemaker).[2]

By 1880 her uncle had moved out, leaving Jacob (age 44, a dry goods merchant), Eliza (46), Amanda (10), Maquilla (18), Jacob K. (15), George (13) and Lillie (8).[3]

On 1 May 1892 in York, York County, she married Elias "Eli" Mummert,[4] son of Jacob Mummert and Elizabeth Saltzgeber,[5] Unfortunately, their married life was cut short when Amanda died 4 December 1896 in York County.[6]
