Biography

(From her Family Search Profile # LCC1-B6R:) Mary Elizabeth Baker was born under the name Julianna Becker, daughter of Joseph Peter Becker and Wilhelmine Fuchs on April 26, 1855 in Cumberland, Maryland. Julianna was only 5 months old when her mother died. She may have been named Julianna because her Godmother was Juliana Mueller.

When Julianna's father Joseph Peter Becker married a second time to Mary Ann Redmond on 12 June 1856 in Cumberland, Maryland, the family had taken the Baker surname and Julianna's name was changed to Mary Baker.

On 30 Jun 1860, Mary Baker is living at home with her father and new mother in Lauraville, Allegany, Maryland. By 1870, Mary Baker is 15, born in Maryland. She and her family have relocated to Wabasha, Minnesota.

Mary Baker married John Sexton November 8, 1873 in Wabasha, Minnesota. The Sexton's had thirteen children during their marriage.

Mary (Baker) Sexton passsed away in October 1939, she was buried in Saint Patricks Cemetery, West Albany, Wabasha, Minnesota.
