Findagrave.com's memorial for him has a photo of the headstone, but it is unreadable. It shows his death year on the memorial as 1919.The U.S. Headstone Application for Military Veterans shows the death year as 1918. Based on these issues, the application information was used for this profile.
The application for his headstone states he was given an honorable discharge due to disability, but it does not specify the disability or if his death about ten months later was due to his disability. Further research is needed.
