Biography

James was born in County Antrim, Ireland in about 1753.

He migrated to the US where he was a rifle sergent in the revolutionary war in 1776 in Harlem, NY.

He married Sarah Taylor, in Pennsylvania in about 1787. Their children were-

Research notes- Some researchers believe he was the son of James Beckett and Jane Heedam , but that baptism is in England in 1750 ...still researching
