Biography

Mary Henrieta Beckett was born on December 2, 1856^[1] in Clark County, Indiana to Cornelius and Corilda Clark Beckett. She was the middle child of three and the first daughter born to the couple.

Mary was initially raised in Clark County, Indiana but before her third birthday, the family was living in Camp Point, Illinois. By 1870, the family was living on a farm in Sugar Creek, Missouri.^[2]

On February 5, 1874 in Cass County, Missouri Mary married James McVicker.^[3]

Mary passed away on December 24, 1874 due to complications from childbirth. She was 18 years old. She is buried next to her husband in Grant Cemetery in Ceighton, Missouri.^[1]
