I have been researching since 1995. After my father passed away I felt a need to learn more about my family and heritage.
I have a number of books and documents concerning my various family lines and the locations they have lived in. I do research every day. I hope one day to do research full time. I can be a bit obsessive with my research! I hope thru WikiTree to build a clean family tree full of sources and maybe break thru my 20 year brick wall of the parents of Thomas Beckett, my great, great grandfather.
I am a single parent to two daughters who are my world and keep me young. We have 2 dogs, Rufus and Sasha, one former feral cat, Bright Eyes aka Bee or Bean, a big fatty cake cat named Oreo and a Siamese cat named Dancing to the Music. When I'm not doing genealogy, I work for a DOE lab in Newport News, VA as an electrical designer.
Since my Mom passed in March 2016, I've discovered 3 half siblings. Al was the first one and I found him three months after Mom passed. He is my Mom's son and is 19 years older than me. To say I was shocked, is putting it mildly! Linda was my next one and she found me in April 2018. She is my Father's child and was born a month and a half before me. Our "baby" sister, Larona found us in June 2018. She is 7 years younger and also my father’s daughter. In the past two years, I went from a lonely, only child to a middle child with three half siblings. My sisters and I bonded quickly and are looking forward to meeting. Unfortunately the same is not true with Al. He couldn't care less that he has a biological sister and says he's too old to invest the time in a sibling.
After 17 years of marriage, I've enjoyed seven wonderful years single. I'm focusing on me and my kids and doing what makes me happy, genealogy.
I currently manage the Birong One name study and the Professional Wrestling project. I also coordinate the following Oklahoma county pages: Bryan, Pittsburg, Pottawatomie, Seminole, and Tulsa. Feel free to contact me about them!

Yes, I'm still interested and do occasionally work on the Donauswabian pages that I co-lead. I'm just not very active with the group as a whole and I don't do Discord.
Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the Military and War Project that you respond to these check-ins. To make bookkeeping easier, just click Reply to this message on your own page, add your reply, then <SAVE>. I look forward to hearing from you..
Many thanks,

I have not been active in quite sometime. If you'd like to remove me from the project, I'm perfectly fine with that.

Lori, we appreciate your work!
Thank you for your participation in October’s 2020 Source-a-thon. Your contributions helped us to clear over 57,000 profiles that needed sourcing. This makes our Shared Tree all that much better.
Keep up the great work!

Even so I would still stay publically available, his kids ( if he has any) may have an entirely different opinion about things and may want to know you and your kids. I hope they do and your story has a wonderful new chapter to tell.
