Biography

This profile is part of the Beckett Name Study.

Edward was born in 1849. He was the son of Edward Beckett and Hannah Parry.[1]

Christening Date: 12 January 1851
Christening Place: Cambridge, England[2]

He emigrated from England to Canada where he married Antoinette Westover Schnare (daughter of James and Amelia Schnare) on 3 June 1873 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.[3]

They had at least four children. Their daughter Amelia was born in Canada before the family moved to the United States.

US Census Date 1880: Living with his wife and two young daughters Amelia and Florence in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States. Aged 31.

Occupation: Musician

Sadly Edward passed away in 1900 at the age of 51. Cause of Death: Chronic Interstitial Nephritis.[4]
