Biography
Son of Benjanin Beckham (bc 1760 Granville, North Carolina, d. 4 Nov 1817 Chester County, South Carolina and Mildred Amelia "Millie" Ballard) (bc 1763 Granville, North Carolina, d. 29 Dec 1829 Limestone, Alabama), Burrell Beckham was born in what would become Warren County, North Carolina around 1787. He came from a large family:

- Philemon Bates (1784-1857)
- Mildren "Milly" (1785-1827)
- Elizabeth (1787-1872)
- Wyatt David (1787-1855)
- Abner (b. 1789)
- Benjamin, jr. (1794-1890)
- Julius (1798-1857)
- Caswell (1801-1840)
- William Chishold (1802-1860)
- James Henry (1803-1865)
He married Rachel Morgan before 1816, when his first son, Berry (1816-1843) was born. They had three other children. Burrell died in Lancaster, South Carolina on January 1, 1847.[1]
