GRANGEVILLE: Thelma Dickerson 96, of Grangeville and formerly of Dallas, Texas passed away Sunday at the Grangeville Health and Rehab. Center.
Thelma was born October 2, 1908 in Ellis County, Texas. She loved sports ad played commercial basketball in the late 1920’s. She bowled in several leagues in Dallas until she was 82. She loved to travel and visited the capitals in all 50 states and the capitals of all the Canadian Provinces.
She was married to Eugene Dick Dickerson for 61 years. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son Jerry Dickerson of Wills Point, Texas, a daughter Jeanne Evans and Bill of Kooskia, Idaho, three granddaughters, Kyra Baerlocher and Bruce of Moses Lake, WA, Karnea Dannheim and Chayse of Sonora, TX, Leah Dickerson of Plano, TX, three grandsons: Kyle Evans and Gayle of Happy Valley, Oregon, Keith Evans and Kristi of Kooskia, Idaho, Jay Dickerson and Tammy of Wills Point, TX, twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville, Idaho. Pastor Harold Gott of the Grangeville Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be held Thursday, December 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.[1] Friends may call Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville.
