Biography

Orpha was born in 1807. She was the daughter of Seth Beckwith.

In about 1830, Orpha married Thomas Cornell. They had at least seven children. When their third child was born in 1836, they were living in Ionia County, Michigan.

In August 1837, her father was issued a Michigan land patent on the Toledo Strip at the border between Michigan and Ohio. By 1840, her parents, sister Eliza, and brother Nelson had moved to Wisconsin Territory.

In 1892, Orpha passed away in Ionia County.

Beckwith-2248 and Beckwith-362 appear to represent the same person because: I just created the Beckwith-2248 as wife of Abel Sperry. When I then searched for her parents, I found their daughter Beckwith-362 who is clearly the same person. Thanks.
