Research notes
Eldest son and heir apparent to his father's title and estate. On the suicide of his father, 6 Dec 1700, it seems that his whereabouts were said to be unknown, and when there was no response to a newspaper advertisement, his brother Roger inherited.
(Cynics might suspect that it was Jennings money that bought Roger Snr's title, and a condition of the whole marriage+title package was that the son by the previous marriage would be disinherited, somehow.)
