On the original marriage record for the William Bedford that married Mary Johnson, it was witnessed by Charles and Lucy Bedford who are his first cousins and siblings of his cousin William. It states that his father Thomas was a Gardener and that William's profession was Soda Water Manufacturer. The Vicar was Edwin Davies. No name of father for Mary Johnson, it states he was dead.

William Bedford whom was his first cousin was baptised in 1849 in Aldershot, Hampshire, England and his parents were Thomas Bedford, brother of George his father and Mary Hockley, of the same Parish.

This William might have died before 1871 by which time most of his siblings had moved to Lambeth after the 1861 Census.
