- Frans Jans Beekman was born in 1750 in Grooten-Borssum, Munsterland, Germany, the son of Jan Beekman and Maria Knollenberg. He married Freerkje Pieters Roo on April 17, 1803 in Ezinge. He died on February 18, 1825 in Den Ham when he was 75 years old.
