Matilda was born in 1839. She is the daughter of Miles Beers and Sally Rowley.
From Portrait Biographical Album of Calhoun County, Michigan:
"The lady who presides over the household economy at Mr. Weever's home was united to him in marriage at Flowerfield, St. Joseph's County, April 7, 1857. She bore the maiden name of Matilda A. Beers, was born in Ontario County, N. Y., February 6, 1839, and was reared and educated at her birthplace. She is the eldest of eleven children born to Miles and Sally A. (Rowley) Beers. Her parental grandfather, Ezra Beers, a native of the Empire State, was a soldier in the war of 1812, and in civil life was a farmer. Her father followed the same occupation in his native State until the spring of 1855, when he came to Michigan. He improved a farm in St. Joseph County and still owns and operates eighty acres there. He is a member of the Republican party and a devout believer in the principles and practices of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Beers was born in Cayuga County, N.Y., her father being Charles Rowley, a native of the same state, and an agriculturalist. She is still living."
