NOTE: It is highly probable that the Hannah Beers whose birth appears in the first paragraph of the biography is one and the same as the Hannah Beers named in the marriage in the second paragraph above. Also ascribed to Nathan and Martha in the Ridgefield town records, in addition to Hannah, is son Jabez. The estate of Nathan Beers of Ridgefield was entered into probate 6 August 1793 after his death. Nathan's widow Martha declined the appointment as the estate administrator in favor of their son Jabez. The identity of Nathan and Martha in the Ridgefield town records as the parents of both Hannah and Jabez, and Jabez being the son of the probated Nathan is convincing of her birth in 1763.
