Biography

George St. Clair Beers, son of John Leonard and Rebecca "Ruby" Jane (St. Clair) Beers, was born on 20 Oct. 1933 at home close to Newberry, Alachua County, Florida, USA.[1] He appeared on the census of 23 April 1940 in the home of his parents at Alachua County, Florida.[2]

He earned his EdD at University of Florida. In 1966, he moved with his family to Murfreesboro, TN to accept a full professorship at Middle Tennessee State University. He taught Math, Math Education, and Computer Science courses as well as supervised student teachers. He retired after 30 years in 1996.[1]

George died on 10 Dec. 2016 at Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee. His memorial has a photo and an extensive biography.[1]
