John P Beeson and Richard M Beeson fought in the battle of Gettysburg, they were both Privates in Company K of the 3th Mississippi Infantry, CSM
Richard M was killed on 02 Jul 1863, he died and was buried on battlefield at Gettysburg, PA while fighting in the Peach Orchard Battle. Most of the bodies of the CSA soldiers were removed from Gettysburg and reburied at Richmond Va. It is not know if Richard's body was removed or not.
