Elijah was born in 1837 . He was the son of Joseph Beevers and Hannah Jepson and the twin brother of George Beevers. [1] He was christened on 3 June 1838 at Darton, Yorkshire. [2]

Elijah was killed in the Lundhill Colliery Explosion on 9 February 1857.[3] His brother Benjamin Beevers died in the same explosion. They were buried together on 2 May 1857 at St Thomas Churchyard, Gawber, Yorkshire[4]
