Eleanor Beggs was born in about 1768. She married John Stephenson Ferguson, Esq. (1761–1833), linen draper, of Belfast, in Dublin on the 20th June 1789. Eleanor Ferguson née Beggs died on the 29th March 1837, aged sixty-nine years; her body was buried in the Ferguson family plot in Clifton Street cemetery, Belfast.
