Martha Ann Belcher was second wife of George W. Belcher, and probably a cousin because she had the same surname at birth. She married George W. Belcher between 1855 and 1860, before the United States Civil War. The couple lived in Virginia, which became a Confederate State in 1860.
Martha Ann Belcher gave birth to six children for this marriage, and probably helped raise several children from her husband's first marriage as well.
Martha Ann Belcher passed away about 1876, five years before George W. Belcher, leaving him a widower for the second time.
